This guy broke into my gmail account
and tried to charge $1200 on my paypal account:
Phan Than Binh
1120 English Garden Lane
Winter Garden, FL 34787
I hope he gets the plague.
Luckily for me, the seller who he tried to go
through called me up this morning when he noticed
that I live in Santa Cruz and Mr. Binh lives in
Florida. We rolled the transaction back so I'm
not in crazy debt, but I'm still screwed as far
as my email goes.
I'm still trying to get google to grant me access
back to my gmail account. Since I relied on google
docs, gmail, and google calendar for all of my
booking, e-mailing
lists, lyrics, resumes, and business docs, I'm
pretty screwed.

I'm waiting to hear from the local police
so I can file an official complaint with them.
I've already filed a complaint with www.ic3.gov,
so hopefully this guy gets a nice kick in the
junk from johnny law soon.

Yes I had a "strong" password.
No it didn't get phished. I'm wondering if it
got leaked out of imeem yesterday when I signed
up. No real idea, though. And no, I'm not putting
on a diaper and driving across the country to
meet up with him in a dark alley. Though, sending
him a box of feces doesn't sound like it'd be
uncalled for.
Thus far google has only sent canned responses
to my emails, so I'm pretty worried. I tried calling
them (using goog411, even) and was told that they
have no live suppot. I lose. I guess that's what
I get for moving all my stuff over to google docs.
whoops.

Welp, after a great gnashing of teeth, everything
is back to normal. I'm still waiting on by new
credit cards to come in the mail and whatnot,
but all my access has been restored, so life's
peachy again. It's too bad that google doesn't
offer any live support and that it took almost
exactly a week for them to get things restored,
but I guess I can't really complain.
I haven't heard anything back about the police
report I filed, but if I do, I'll post it here.
